Animals are pure beings and truly have a lot to teach us. When interacting with them, I let them decide how much energy they want and what level of contact they are comfortable with. That said, I make no guarantees for what I will or will not be able to accomplish with your pet but I am always happy to try!
To make the second story in the “My Reiki Journey” section short, Charles was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer when he was only 19 months old and I relied on both Western and “traditional Eastern” methods of healing for his recovery. Western medicine diagnosed his cancer, surgically resected the bulk of his tumor, provided chemotherapy to remove the remaining tumor cells, and supplied medications to stimulate his appetite, decrease nausea, and ease his pain. I can only guess how these “traditional Eastern” modalities impact on a cellular level however, my current hypothesis is that Reiki energy decreased inflammation and allowed me to remove the energetic scar the tumor had left behind. I needed Western medicine to treat his body and “traditional Eastern” medicine to heal his spirit.
